This area was used the the property was a wood yard for Eastnor Castle Estate to season the wood. Following on from this it was then used to grow apple trees for cider making.
The current owner has now planted hardwood trees to use the space as a nature area. The types of trees planted are all suitable for the soil and include beech, maple, silver birch and hazel. It is hoped that as the trees grow over time the area will encourage wildlife of many types. (See our Wildlife section for details of animals in the area)
